About Turner Installs
Three generations of knowledge passed down from grandfather, to father, to son. We don't just lay floors; we carry on a legacy of craftsmanship.
From Grandfather
to Father to Son.
It started in 1979 with my grandfather's business, Turners Floorcoverings Pty Ltd, at 360 Newman Road, Geebung, on Brisbane's northside. My dad started his floor-layer training there on 3 March 1979, and went on to do both flooring installations and retail. My grandfather was a master tradesman who believed that if a job wasn't done perfectly, it wasn't done at all.
My father continued the legacy in the 1990s with his own business, Carpet Craft (BT Traders Pty Ltd), serving Reynella, Hackham and Noarlunga in Adelaide's south, in South Australia, where I was born. From 1995 he ran Fleurieu Floorcoverings from home in Aldinga Beach on the Fleurieu Peninsula. Growing up, I learned the trade at his side, absorbing the tricks that you can't learn in a classroom.
Although Brisbane is where our roots are, it took three generations to refine this craft to perfection. Today, Turner Installs represents the culmination of that history, and my brother Jye and I are both installers. We don't just carry the name; we carry the standard. That’s why professionalism is where I excel—because I've spent a lifetime getting rid of the kinks.
